Technical Communication

Technical communication can be interpreted in many different ways. It really depends on how someone wants to get their point across. The means of using technical communication is getting a better understanding of how to really understand an audience and what your aim should be in talking to that certain group. My meaning of technical communication would be using the knowledge of audience and people to portray a message of some sort. I think that it is important to really understand your audience and who they might be because if the wrong message is portrayed how did your message get across if your audience had no understanding. Story telling is effective in technical communication because you can relate to the audience. You put them in a sense of being there and following along with your experience. Let them know a little about how the situation broke down. Story telling could be a good way to be persuasive as well. Regarding the procedural rhetoric, say you had a story of you doing a certain activity. You could always include into your story what things went wrong and what to avoid during the experience. Every story could turn into a life story, something that people can take away from stories is life lessons. Many people want to live a fulfilling life so any shortcut to that via story telling from experiences can get a message across easier.

In response to the image, I think that many of the keywords  i can relate to. The improvisation and presentation i relate to quite a bit. I always try to plan out a presentation but, it doesnt always pan out the way i plan it. I usually end up improvising and thinking about things to say that wouldn't be on a sheet that i planned out. I like to just go with the flow and let my mind think about the thing infront of me - the presentation. It makes me think more and its quick thinking really. Quickly thinking about what i have to say is difficult but i think its more genuine because you're saying whats off the top of your head about your presentation.
